We provide free individual advocacy support services to people with disability across two-thirds of NSW.

Step 1

Contact DA NSW

Complete a referral online or call us on 1300 365 085

Step 2

Intake & Assessment

We will start the intake process within 7 days.

We will gather information about your issue to decide if this is something and advocate can assist with and what level of advocacy support might be needed.

If there is a waitlist, we will try to give you an idea of how long you may expect to wait.

If we can't assist with your issue, we will help you find a service that can help where ever possible

Step 3

Advocacy provided

When resources are available your matter will be allocated to an advocate.

They will contact you to discuss the options available to you to progress your issue and develop an advocacy agreement together with you.

Advocacy support will be provided in line with the advocacy agreement.

Step 4

Case closure

When the actions in the advocacy agreement are completed, the matter resolves or it is determined the matter can't be resolved, your case will be closed.

If you need support with another issue at any time in the future you can contact us and these advocacy process steps will be followed again for that issue.

Feedback

We want to hear what you think about the help you had from your Advocate at DA NSW.

This feedback can help us know what we are doing well and what we need to improve.
